Mahwah, NJ Office Job Opening:

The Mahwah office of ICA Risk Management Consultants is seeking an experienced Consultant with commercial lines account management experience. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task and work with Clients, Brokers and internal staff providing day-to-day service of a varied book of commercial lines business, with an emphasis on Property and Casualty and Management Liability coverages. Responsibilities will include and are not limited to:

· Policy Management.

· Collaboration with brokers and other third parties at the ultimate direction of the client.

· Insurance marketing initiatives to include market and broker selection, coverage specifications and the compilation of exposure and loss data.

· Assist clients in the preparation of underwriting materials on various lines of coverage.

· Analyze the insurance marketing results and make placement recommendations to the client.

· Complete Policy audits and monitor outstanding policy endorsements.

· Update standard monthly reports for clients.

· Review insurance and indemnity language in leases, loan covenants and other third party contracts.

· Educate clients on new products and new coverage available as they are introduced into the marketplace.

· Allocate annual premiums as required by the client.

· Work with lenders and client on acquisition/ divestiture due diligence.

· Assist clients with developing internal risk management/ loss control best practices, procedures and protocols.

· Report and track claims activity and effectively act as the clients claims advocate.

Candidate Must have:

· Five plus years of commercial lines experience

· Active NJ Property & Casualty Insurance License (any additional certifications are a plus)

· Excellent customer service, organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities

· Strong written and verbal communication

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel & powerpoint)

· Personable and able to work in a high energy and high paced environment

· Attention to detail

· Additional industry designations a plus

Job Description: Provide risk management analytical services to various clients included in the overall book of business of Gary Koppele (Associate/ Principal of the Company).

Job Duties: Reporting directly to a Senior Consultant, with presence in the above referenced office while following ICA’s strict COVID-19 safety protocols:

  • Collaboration with insurance brokers and other third parties at the ultimate direction of the client and the ICA consultant.
  • Insurance marketing support initiatives to include market and broker selection, coverage specifications and the compilation of exposure and loss data.
  • Assist clients in the preparation of application materials on various lines of coverage.
  • Monitor outstanding insurance policy endorsements and update standard monthly and quarterly reports for clients, including “Schedules of Insurance”.
  • Support for the client the “Certificate of Insurance” tracking program.
  • Allocate annual premiums as required by the client.

Industry Education:

  • ARM: Associate in Risk Management or CRM: Certified Risk Manager- required.
  • CPCU: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter or CIC: Certified Insurance Counselor- preferred
