Senior Risk Management Consultant Steven Wines is an experienced, accomplished risk management leader with a proven performance record of implementing change and effective cost saving risk management programs in construction, real estate, manufacturing, distributing, professional service companies and not-for-profit organizations. His outstanding ability to develop, initiate, manage and maintain a cost effective and professional risk management department has been demonstrated countless times. He is able to quickly grasp, analyze and evaluate business essentials to balance operational costs against need.
His professional strengths include risk analysis, contract language review, risk transfer techniques, insurance marketing – including development of bid specifications, claims management – including P&C and Workers Compensation claims, development and implementation of loss control measures, premium auditing and allocation, insurance cost projections, insurance policy language and plan design, insurance policy audits – including negotiation of policy terms & conditions with broker, development and implementation of certificate of insurance/indemnification programs and Employee Benefit programs.
Steven Wines has been with ICA since 1988 and holds professional licenses in New York and New Jersey. He graduated from Fordham University with a degree in both Economics and Biology. He also has obtained an Associate in Risk Management from the Institutes Risk Insurance Knowledge Group.
Outside of ICA, Steven Wines is very active in his community serving as a long term member of the Somers Volunteer Fire Department as a Level 1 interior firefighter, NYS certified Emergency Medical Technician and CRP/First Aid Instructor. He is currently active with the Boy Scouts and is the Advancement Chairman of his son’s troop. Steven also is an accredited Firearms Safety Counselor providing safety training in several disciplines.
